What is Behind Israel's Attack on the Gaza Freedom Flotilla?

On Monday May 31st, Israeli military special forces attacked the Gaza Freedom Flotilla, a convoy of ships with over 700 activists from around the world. The Gaza Freedom Flotilla was attempting to deliver much-needed humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people of Gaza, who have been suffering under a brutal Israeli blockade for nearly four years. The ships were in international waters more than 150km (90 miles) off the coast of Gaza when Israeli naval forces attacked and killed at least 19 international human rights activists. 

This attack is one of many continued strikes that have plagued the Palestinian people for over 62 years, since the establishment of the racist Zionist regime over the nation of Palestine. This forum will open a discussion on the significance of this latest attack.
