On Sunday July 4 David Petraeus became the new US/NATO Commander in Afghanistan,
replacing General Stanley McCrystal. Petraeus comes into his new position at a
time when US and NATO troop deaths are at an all time high. The number of Afghan
civilian deaths is also continuing to rise drastically. Does the replacement of
McCrystal mean a change of policy for the US and NATO forces in Afghanistan?
Will Canada's major combative role be effected?
