Afghanistan after 8 years of occupation has become more and more a deadly
quagmire for US, Canada and NATO forces. In response to their failure the US
government is sending 33,000 more troops to Afghanistan to kill more Afghans.
2009 was the deadliest year for Afghan civilians according to the United
Nations' latest statistics announced in January 2010. The increased troop
presence has been met with widespread protests across Afghanistan against war
and occupation. January 12th Afghans took to the streets all over Afghanistan
again to protest the occupation of their country, which resulted in six innocent
Afghans shot dead by the occupation forces.

This criminal war drive by the US, Canada, and their allies has been expanded to
Pakistan and most recently to Yemen. With 2010 already being marked by US
bombings, drone attacks, and civilian killings, it has led to protests against
US interventions throughout the region. Mobilization Against War & Occupation
(MAWO) joins millions of masses in the Middle East and is calling on people in
Vancouver to join the protest on Saturday to demand:

CANADA/US/NATO OUT OF AFGHANISTAN!
US HANDS OFF YEMEN!
SELF DETERMINATION NOW!
STOP ATTACK ON MUSLIMS!
