Dear friends and co-fighters in the struggle for justice, 
 
The year 2009 has marked a decisive stage in the struggle for the freedom of Gerardo Hernández, René González, Antonio Guerrero, Ramon Labañino and Fernando González. They are known internationally as the Cuban 5 heroes, punished for defending their people against US sponsored terrorism against Cuba. 

On October 13th and December 8th Antonio Guerrero, Ramon Labañino and Fernando González were not granted freedom, but were re-sentenced in the Federal District Court of Miami. On December 18th, Olga Salanueva wife of René González was denied for the 10th time by the US Government a VISA to enter the US to visit her beloved husband in prison. 
 
Now, in January of 2010, the struggle for justice and freedom for the Cuban 5 has never been more important. The international campaign for the freedom of the Cuban 5 heroes continues to grow, from Vancouver Canada to Beirut Lebanon to South Africa to Japan to hundreds of cities and countries worldwide. Together we will make 2010 the year that the Cuban 5 heroes have their freedom!

Please join the Free the Cuban 5 Committee Vancouver for a picket action outside the U.S Consulate in Downtown Vancouver to demand:

Queridos amigos y compañeros combatientes de lucha por la justicia,
  
El año 2009 ha marcado una etapa decisiva en la lucha por la libertad de Gerardo Hernández, René González, Antonio Guerrero, Ramón Labañino y Fernando González. Son conocidos internacionalmente como los 5 Héroes cubanos, sancionados y encancelados por defender a su pueblo contra el terrorismo de EE.UU. contra Cuba. 

El 13 de octubre y 8 de diciembre Antonio Guerrero, Ramón Labañino y Fernando González no se les concedieron sus libertades, pero si fueron sentenciados de nuevo en el Tribunal de Distrito Federal de Miami. El 18 de diciembre, Olga Salanueva, esposa de René González le negaron por décima ocasión la VISA del Gobierno de los EE.UU. ella ha sido tan persistente con el único fin de poder visitar a su amado esposo en la cárcel. 
  
Ahora, en enero de 2010, la lucha por la justicia y la libertad para los 5 cubanos nunca había tenido tanta importancia como la tiene ahora. La campaña internacional por la liberación de los 5 héroes cubanos sigue creciendo, desde Vancouver Canadá a Beirut, desde Líbano a Sudáfrica, Japón, y a cientos de ciudades y países del mundo. Juntos vamos a hacer del 2010, el año en que los 5 héroes cubanos tengan su libertad! 

Por favor únase a la Libertad de los 5 cubanos Comité de Vancouver para la manifestación enfrente del consulado de los EE.UU. en el centro de Vancouver con la siguiente demanda:
