The quagmire that is the Canada/US/NATO occupation of Afghanistan is reaching new levels of misery and suffering. On April 14th a former translator for the Canadian military in Afghanistan reported to a parliamentary committee how the Canadian military killed an Afghan teenager and went on to cover the killing up by arresting all the men in the neighbourhood.
 
As reports of civilian killings, arrests, torture, and torment continue to mount, the anti-occupation movement in Afghanistan is becoming more widespread. 2010 is on pace to be the deadliest year of the 8 year long war and occupation for the occupying troops. Despite this, the government of the US continues to increase its troop numbers in Afghanistan which has resulted in more killings and more protests to the killings. While protests are increasing and expanding across Afghanistan we here in Vancouver, Canada need to join our Afghan brothers and sisters and demand an end to the war and occupation immediately!
