Since
1948, the Palestinian people have been under occupation and brutal oppression
at the hands of the Zionist Israeli regime. 62 years later, the discussion
remains on what the solution is for Palestine. 

This special event will features guest speaker Richard Becker. He is a noted
writer and commentator on Middle East affairs.
Becker has visited the Middle East on numerous
occasions. He led fact-finding delegations to Palestine in 2000 and
2002, during which he delivered medicine to Palestinian hospitals. Becker
helped produce the video Palestine Fights for Freedom (2002) based on his
experiences. He has been a featured speaker at political forums and conferences
in the United States and across
the world. Richard Becker is the Western Regional Coordinator of the ANSWER
Coalition (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism). ANSWER has organized mass
protests of hundreds of thousands of people against the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon and Palestine from
mid-2002 to the present.

This
event is part of a US/Canada speaking tour with Becker's new book, "Palestine, Israel and the US
Empire."

Desde 1948, el pueblo palestino ha estado bajo la ocupación y la opresión
brutal a manos del régimen sionista de Israel. 62 años más tarde, el
debate sigue y cuál es la solución para Palestina. 

Este evento especial cuenta con invitado especial Richard Becker. Él es un
conocido escritor y comentarista sobre asuntos del Medio
Oriente. Becker ha visitado el Oriente Medio en numerosas ocasiones. Especialmente
con determinación en los hechos de las delegaciones de Palestina en 2000 y
2002, durante la cual propago la medicina a los hospitales palestinos. Becker
colaboro en la elaboración del  vídeo Palestina lucha por la libertad (2002)
basada en sus experiencias. Ha participado  en foros políticos y conferencias en los
Estados Unidos y en todo el mundo. Richard Becker es el Coordinador de la
Región Occidental de la Coalición ANSWER (Actúa Ahora para Parar la Guerra y
Acabar con el Racismo). RESPUESTA ha organizado protestas en masa de cientos de
miles de personas contra las guerras en Afganistán, Irak, Líbano y Palestina
desde mediados de 2002 hasta el presente. 

Este evento forma parte de un Estados Unidos / Canadá gira de hablar con el
nuevo libro de Becker, "Palestina, Israel y el Imperio
EE.UU.".
