On June 28th 2009 the people of Honduras awoke to hear the news that their democratically elected president, Manuel Zelaya, had been removed from power by a right-wing coup d’etat. 
Almost 3 months later massive demonstrations continue every day in Honduras, demanding the reinstatement of President Zelaya. Internationally the Organization of American States, the United Nations and European Union have all condemned the coup.  

On Monday September 21st Zelaya returned to Honduras and sought refuge in the Brazilian Embassy. Hundreds of thousands across the country have rallied in support of Zelaya. At the same time, the coup government of Roberto Micheletti has used a fear campaign, of martial law, police repression, intimidation, harassment and the murder of at least 2 protesters. Reports have also surfaced that chemical weapons were used by police against protesters outside the Brazilian Embassy. Despite both Honduran opinion and international opinion, the coup government continues to insist on its legitimacy. 

Although the United Nations Security Council denounced the harassment of the Micheletti government towards the Brazilian Embassy, the role of the United States in supporting the coup has become more and more obvious - from their involvement in the failed “negotiation” process to their continued military presence in U.S. bases in Honduras. 

Join the picket action Monday September 28th, part of a world-wide movement demanding the reinstatement of Honduran President Manuel Zelaya. In unity we can expose, resist and fight back against this inhuman and criminal coup. 
Long live the people of Honduras, down with the coup!
Long live the legitimate president Manuel Zelaya!
The movement is growing, the struggle continues!

(Esta fecha marca los 3 meses de resistencia contra el golpe de Estado en Honduras)

El 28 de Junio del presente año la gente de Honduras despertó y escuchó las noticias de que su presidente Manuel Zelaya, elegido democráticamente, habia sido removido del poder por un golpe de Estado de la derecha. Tres meses más tarde, masivas demonstraciones continuaron todo los dias en Honduras demandando la vuelta del presidente M. Zelaya. De inmediato las organizaciones internacionales como la OEA, la ONU (Organizacion de Naciones Unidas) y la Union Europea condenaban el golpe de Estado de Honduras. 

El Lunes 21 de Septiembre el presidente M. Zelaya retorna a Honduras y se establece en la Embajada Brasileña. De inmediato miles de demonstraciones en su apoyo se realizan en todo el pais. Al mismo tiempo, el gobierno golpista de Roberto Micheleti impone la campaña del terror y decreta la ley marcial, dándole a la policía la facultad para asesinar, secuestrar y crear campos de concentración donde llevan al pueblo que apoyan al legítimo presidente M. Zelaya.  También se sabe que estan usando elementos químicos encontra de las personas que protestan frente a la Embajada Brasileña. Pese a la opinion del pueblo Hondureño y la opinion internacional el golpe de Estado en contra del legítimo presidente continua. 

También el consejo de Seguridad de la ONU denuncia el ataque de Micheletti en contra de la Embajada Brasileña, pero el rol de los E.E.U.U. en apoyo al golpe es cada vez más obvio manteniendo sus bases militares en Honduras. 

Unámonos todos en la concentración de protesta éste lunes 28 de Septiembre, para integrar el movimento mundial en favor del presidente Manuel Zelaya. Unámonos en solidaridad en contra de los criminales de éste golpe de Estado. 
¡VIVA EL PUEBLO DE HONDURAS!

¡VIVA  EL LEGITIMO PRESIDENTE MANUEL ZELAYA!
