Mobilization Against War & Occupation (MAWO) formed on October 29, 2003 to organize and mobilize against war and occupation. In the last six years, MAWO has organized countless protest actions, including more than 200 rallies, pickets and forums, as well as 11 educational conferences, 5 antiwar Hip Hop festivals, 6 antiwar film festivals and numerous cultural events in defence of the right of all oppressed nations to self-determination. To celebrate MAWO’s sixth anniversary, we are organizing a special night to reflect on these six years and to celebrate MAWO’s unabated struggle for a better world. MAWO’een will feature music and poetry from local artists whose lyrics and rhymes are a weapon against war and occupation. 
 
Join us to celebrate six years of struggling for an end to war and occupation and fighting for a better world!
 
MAWO’een costumes are encouraged!
 
The evening will feature:

>> Payvand Pejvack ~ Classical guitar from a MAWO organizer
and many more surprises!
