Ernesto Che Guevara’s legacy lives on! Please join Vancouver Communities in Solidarity with Cuba (VCSC) this Friday to mark 42 years since the murder of Che Guevara in Bolivia in October 1967. From his writings against imperialism, to his leadership during the Cuban revolution, to his proud and humble character that impressed those he met – we invite you to join us to celebrate the life and legacy of this man known around the world simply as “Che”. 

The evening will feature:
~ DINNER – Taco Loco specializes in all types of delicious Mexican food! Dinner prices range from $7-12.
~ JOAQUIN ERNESTO – Singing songs of struggle from across Latin America
~ OPEN MIC – Please bring your stories, poems and quotes written by or inspired by Che Guevara
~ SHORT FILMS – Some clips of Che’s speeches as well as music videos inspired by Che
~ FEATURE FILM - “CHE GUEVARA WHERE YOU'D NEVER IMAGINE HIM” this 2004 Cuban documentary paints a personal portrait of Che from his role in the Cuban revolution to his struggle for revolution in Bolivia (Spanish with English Subtitles).
~ RAFFLE – Featuring surprise prizes from Cuba! 

Event is by donation (no one will be turned away for lack of funds).

EL LEGADO DE ERNESTO CHE GUEVARA SIGUE VIVO!!! Comunidades de Vancouver en Solidaridad con Cuba le invita:
Este Viernes a conmemorar el 42 aniversario del asesinato de CHE Guevara en Bolivia en Octubre de 1967. Desde sus tratados en contra del imperialismo, hasta su liderazgo durante la revolución cubana, su integro y humilde carácter que impresiono a todo aquel que le conoció. Le invitamos a que se nos una para celebrar la vida y legado de este hombre conocido alrededor del mundo simplemente como "CHE"

El programa incluirá:
~ DELICIOSA CENA - TACO LOCO se especializa en un menú que incluye todo tipo de deliciosos platillos mexicanos. Precios varían entre $7.00 a $12.00.
~ JOAQUIN ERNESTO - Cantando canciones comprometidas y de propuesta de Hispano América.
~ MICOFONO ABIERTO - Traiga sus poemas pensamientos y  reflexiones inspiradas por CHE.
~ CORTO METRAJES -  Algunas escenas y cortos de discursos del CHE.
~ PELICULA DE LA NOCHE - "CHE GUEVARA COMO USTED NUNCA SE LO IMAGINO" Este documental cubano del 2004 pinta un cuadro personal del CHE, desde su papel en la revolución cubana, a su lucha por la revolución boliviana (español con subtítulos en ingles)
~ RIFA- con premios sorpresa traídos desde Cuba.

Entrada es por donación (nadie será impedido de entrar por falta de fondos).
