On June, 28th 2009 the people of Honduras awoke to hear the news that their democratically elected president, Manuel Zelaya, had been removed from power by a right-wing coup d’etat.  4 months later massive demonstrations continue every day access Honduras, demanding the reinstatement of President Zelaya.  Hondurans recently returned from the capital of Tegucigalpa will give eye-witness accounts of the protests, the Honduran military's siege of the Brazilian Embassy where President Zelaya has taken refuge, and the overall state of the huge movement continuing to organize against the U.S.-backed coup d'etat.  Come to hear this important information, and participate in the discussion on how to organize in solidarity with the people of Honduras here in Vancouver.

En junio, 28 de 2009, el pueblo de Honduras se despertó al escuchar la noticia de que su presidente democráticamente electo, Manuel Zelaya, había sido removido del poder por un golpe de Estado perpetrado por la derecha. 4 meses después las manifestaciones masivas continuar cada día en Honduras, exigiendo la restauración del Presidente Zelaya. Hondureños acaba de regresar de la capital de Tegucigalpa y dará relatos de testigos oculares de las protestas, el asedio de los militares hondureños a la Embajada brasileña, donde el presidente Zelaya se ha refugiado, y el estado general del gran movimiento permanente de organizacion en contra de los EE.UU que respalda el golpe de estado. Ven a conocer esta importante información, y pariticipata en el debate sobre la forma de organizarse en solidaridad con el pueblo de Honduras aquí en Vancouver.
