After 8 years of war and occupation in Afghanistan the majority of the people of Canada are still puzzled by this war and rightfully are against it. What is this massacre in Afghanistan really about? Who is benefiting of the killing of more than 40 000 innocent Afghans and the loss of 134 mainly young Canadian soldiers?

On October 28th and 30th two more Canadian soldiers were killed. The death of 59 US soldiers in October made it the deadliest month so far for US troops. On November 5th Afghans in Helmand province protested another NATO rocket attack on civilians that killed 9 people, including 3 children.

Yet the government of Canada recently stated their intention to stay in Afghanistan beyond 2011 with a new justification of doing civilian assistance. At the same time the US government is discussing sending upwards of 40 000 more troops to massacre more Afghan men, women and children. Mobilization Against War & Occupation (MAWO) is calling on all peace loving people on this Remembrance Day to oppose the glorification of this brutal and unjust war, and join us on November 10 to protest the war and occupation in Afghanistan and to demand:

CANADA OUT OF AFGHANISTAN NOW!
END THE OCCUPATION NOW!
BRING TROOPS HOME NOW!
