Dear friends and co-fighters in the struggle for justice, 
 
The year 2009 has marked 11 years of imprisonment and continued injustice for Ramon Labanino, Antonio Guerrero, Rene Gonzalez, Fernando Gonzalez and Gerardo Hernandez. They are known internationally as the Cuban 5 heroes, punished for defending their people against US sponsored terrorism against Cuba .
 
-         On June 15th 2009 the US Supreme Court announced it decision not to review the case of the Cuban 5. 
-         September 12th 2009 marked the 11th anniversary of their unjust imprisonment. 
-         On October 13th 2009 Antonio Guerrero was re-sentenced to 21 years plus 10 months by the Federal District Court of Miami and the same judge who convicted him 11 years ago. 
-         On December 8th, 2009 Ramon Labanino and Fernando Gonzalez will also be re-sentenced by the same Miami court.
 
This year has proven to be a more important time than ever in the case of the Cuban 5. We must continue to organize and increase our efforts to demand the immediate and complete freedom of the 5 Cuban heroes. 
 
On November 12th please join with the Free the Cuban 5 Committee – Vancouver at a protest picket action outside the US consulate to demand:

Queridos amigos y luchadores por la justucia,
 
El 2009 marca 11 anos de prisión e injusticia para  Ramón Labañino, Antonio Guerrero, Rene González, Fernando González and Gerardo Hernández. Ellos son conocidos internationalmente como los 5 heroes cubanos, que han sido castigados por defender al pueblo cubano del terrorsimo amparado por EE.UU en contra de ellos. 
 
-         En Junio 15 del 2009, La Corte Suprema decide no revisar el caso de los 5 heroes cubanos. 
-         Septiembre 12 del 2009 marca el 11 aniversario de la injusta prisión para esto heroes.
-         En Octubre 13 del 2009, Antonio Guerrero fue resentenciado a 21 años más 10 meses por la Corte del Distrito Federal de Miami y por el mismo juez que lo sentenció hace 11 años atrás.
-         En Diciembre 8 del 2009 Ramon Labañino y Fernando Gonzáles serán también resentenciado por la misma Corte de Miami. 
 
Este año ha provado ser el más importante que los otros en el caso de los 5 cubanos. Nosotros debemos continuar orginizados e incrementando nuestros esfuerzos para de mandar la inmediata y completa libertad de los 5 heroes cubanos.
 
En Noviembre 12 por favor únete con el Free the Cuban 5 Committee-Vancouver (Comité por la Libertad de los 5 Cubanos) para protestar afuera del Consulado de EE.UU y demandar:
 
 “¡LIBERTAD PARA LOS 5 HEROES CUBANOS AHORA!”
