Vancouver & Montreal Monthly Protest to Free the 5 Cuban Heroes!
>> Vancouver Picket Action
THURSDAY
May 14
4-5pm
U.S. Consulate
(1075 W. Pender St.)
Downtown Vancouver
Appeal to all human and peace loving people:
Join Free the Cuban 5 Committee-Vancouver for our monthly protest picket action to demand freedom for the 5 Cuban Heroes unjustly held in U.S. jails! This protest picket action will be the 41st picket organized in Vancouver. A similar action will take place in Montreal in the same spirit and coordination.
This protest will take place as the U.S. Supreme Court is deciding on whether or not to review the case of our 5 jailed heroes. Prominent individuals and organizations from around the world, including 10 Nobel Prize winners have urged the U.S. Supreme Court to review the case of the 5 for retrial. The Supreme Court is expected to make its decision to review the case before summer. At this time it is vitally important that all people in the struggle for peace and justice join together on the streets of Vancouver and Montreal to demand justice for our 5 Cuban Heroes and demand:
FREE THE CUBAN 5 NOW!
> U.S. Authorities Undermine the Prisoner’s Rights
Injustice against family members of the Cuban 5 still
continues. Olga Salanuava, wife of Ramon Labanino, and Adrianna Perez, wife of Gerardo Hernandez, have continuously been denied visas to enter the United States to visit their loved ones in prison.
Olga and Adrianna have been denied visas 9 times by the US government and have not been able to see their beloved husbands for over 10 years, denying them the basic human right of families to be together.
Join us on May 14th to also demand:
VISAS FOR THE CUBAN 5 FAMILIES NOW!

The Case: 10 Years of Injustice
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Between 1994 and 1995, Cuba sent five unarmed men, Gerardo Hernández, Antonio Guerrero, Ramón Labañino, Fernando González and René González to infiltrate and expose Miami-based terrorist groups. These groups and others are responsible for hundreds of terrorist attacks which have taken the lives of more than 3,400 people in Cuba since 1959. The well documented list of atrocities committed by these groups and others is long. The 5 Cuban Heroes were gathering evidence to expose the terrorists responsible for these crimes against Cuba and humanity.
Cuba released all the information that the 5 collected on exiled Cuban terrorists to the FBI. However, on September 12th 1998, the FBI arrested the Cuban 5 and threw them in solitary confinement for 17 months. The 5 Cuban Heroes have been unjustly held in US prisons for over 10 years.
