~ In the spirit of 50 years of the Cuban Revolution ~

Featuring the 2005 Cuban Film:
¡VIVA CUBA!

Viva Cuba is a film about the friendship between two Cuban children which is threatened by their parents’ differences. To save their friendship they embark on a journey across the island. This wonderful film about daily life in Cuba is not to be missed. 

Join us for an evening with delicious Latin American food, this great film and some wonderful live music. The event will also feature an open mic for poetry, storytelling and song with the theme “How I learned about Cuba”, with readings of poetry by Jose Marti (a great Cuban revolutionary) and others. Bring something to share!

Entrance is by donation, and dinner will be served for $5.
All proceeds will go towards sending young people to volunteer in Cuba.

‘Viva Cuba’ es una película sobre la amistad entre dos niños Cubanos qiuen se ven amenazados por las diferencias de sus padres. Para salvar su amistad, ellos se van en un viaje a traves de la isla. No se puede faltar esta película maravillosa sobre la vida diaria en Cuba actual. 

Ven con nosotros sera una noche con comida deliciosa de América Latina, una película hermosa, y música en vivo. El evento también presenta una etapa abierta para la poesía, cuentas y canciones con la tema “Como aprendí a amar a Cuba”, con lecturas de poesía escrito por José Martí (una gran revolucionario Cubano) y otras. ¡Trae algo para compartir! 

Entrada por donación, y la cena cuesta solamente $5.
Todo los fundos ganado financiará los viajes de juventud Canadiense que va a Cuba en proyectos voluntarios.
