After Afghanistan and Iraq: Pakistan, a New Frontier for War and Occupation

WEDNESDAY March 25
6:30pm
Joe’s Cafe ~ in the large North Hall
Commercial Drive at William Street
On Monday March 23rd, hundreds of Pakistanis rallied to denounce the US bombings of Pakistan, and the future threat of attack on Baluchistan, a province of Pakistan. The US government has been stepping up their propaganda and military campaign against Pakistan, using the excuse that so-called Taliban militants from Afghanistan are in the country to justify indiscriminate killing through attacks by US drone planes. Since August 2008, over 35 drone attacks have killed over 340 people in Pakistan.
With these attacks on Pakistan, the US is opening yet another front in the new era of war and occupation, which has already killed 1.2 million people in Iraq and tens of thousands more in Afghanistan.
MAWO invites you to this forum to discuss the history of imperialist intervention in Pakistan, the current US attacks, and how the antiwar movement must respond to this new aggression against the Pakistani people.
