March 8th marks International Women’s Day ~ a time to celebrate the gains women’s have made, and to further advance the rights of mothers, daughters, sisters and friends around the world. Despite the many achievements women have made, the new era of war and occupation we are living in today is turning back the clock on women’s rights, in countries under war and occupation as well as here at home.
 
>From Afghanistan and Iraq to Canada, women are fighting just to survive, while the fight for rights and dignity remains. In the countries under occupation, an end to the occupations will put women in a better position to fight for their rights. We invite all women, and men to join us for these forums to discuss the issues women are facing, the achievements made, and how we must advance the women’s movement.
