INTERNATIONAL DAYS OF ACTION TO FREE THE 5 CUBAN HEROES! (Vancouver, Canada)

June 6-8, 2009

Over 170 people representing 40 countries came together from May 11-12 in Havana, Cuba for the 2nd International Youth Summit on the Cuban Five Heroes. Many topics were discussed ranging from the case itself to the campaign which needs to be built to liberate the 5 Heroes. One of the decisions agreed upon at the summit was to organize an international period of action from June 6-8, 2009. 

We are expecting to hear a decision in mid June from the U.S. Supreme Court on whether or not they will review the case of the 5 held unjustly in U.S. prisons. Events will take place around the world leading up to the release of the Supreme Court decision to show the public support for the Cuban 5 heroes and demanding that the U.S. government immediately free the 5 Anti-Terrorist Cuban Heroes!

The Case of the Cuban 5: Over 10 Years of Injustice
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Between 1994 and 1995, Cuba sent five unarmed men, Gerardo Hernández, Antonio Guerrero, Ramón Labañino, Fernando González and René González to infiltrate and expose Miami-based terrorist groups. These groups and others are responsible for hundreds of terrorist attacks which have taken the lives of more than 3,400 people in Cuba since 1959. The well documented list of atrocities committed by these groups and others is long. The 5 Cuban Heroes were gathering evidence to expose the terrorists responsible for these crimes against Cuba and humanity.

Cuba released all the information that the 5 collected on exiled Cuban terrorists to the FBI. However, on September 12th 1998, the FBI arrested the Cuban 5 and threw them in solitary confinement for 17 months. The 5 Cuban Heroes have been unjustly held in US prisons for over 10 years.

JORNADAS INTERNACIONALES DE ACCIÓN PARA LA LIBRE DE 5 HÉROES CUBANOS

6-8 de Junio, 2009 

Más de 170 personas en representación de 40 países se reunieron en los dias 11 y 12 de mayo en La Habana, Cuba durante la 2 ª Cumbre Internacional de la Juventud sobre los Cinco Héroes. Se discutieron muchos temas mismos que fueron desde el caso por si mismo hasta la campaña que debe ser construida para liberar a los 5 Héroes. Una de las decisiones acordadas en la cumbre internaciona fue organizar un período de acción en los dias 6-8 de junio, 2009. 

Estamos a la espera de oír la decisión del Tribunal Supremo de los EE.UU que seria a medidados de junio. sobre la conveniencia o no, de que ellos revisen el caso de los 5 prisioneros que se encuentran en cárceles de EE.UU.. Los eventos tendrán lugar en todo el mundo conducidos a saber la decisión del Tribunal Supremo y asi mostrar el apoyo público de los 5 héroes cubanos y exigir que el gobierno de los EE.UU. libre inmediatamente a los5 Héroes cubanos anti-terroristas!

El caso de los 5 cubanos : Más de 10 años de injusticia

Entre 1994 y 1995, Cuba envió a cinco hombres, Gerardo Hernández, Antonio Guerrero, Ramón Labañino, Fernando González y René González para infiltrar y exponer a los grupos terroristas con sede en Miami. Estos grupos y otros son responsables de cientos de ataques terroristas que han cobrado la vida de más de 3400 personas en Cuba desde 1959. La bien documentada lista de atrocidades cometidas por estos grupos y otros es larga. Los 5 Héroes cubanos, reunieron pruebas para denunciar a los terroristas responsables de esos crímenes contra Cuba y la humanidad. 

Cuba liberó para el FBI toda la información colectada por los 5 cubanos sobre los exiliados terroristas. Sin embargo, el 12 de septiembre de 1998, el FBI arrestó a los cubanos y los sometió a un régimen de aislamiento durante 17 meses. Los 5 Héroes cubanos,han sido injustamente encerrados en las cárceles de EE.UU. por más de 10 años.
