Fifty Years of Dynamism of the Cuban Revolution

The first International Che Guevara Conference was a huge success with speakers from Canada, the US, Cuba and Venezuela and with more than 200 participants. While the first conference focused more on Che Guevara as a thinker and fighter this year's conference will focus on 50 years of the Cuban Revolution.  

The topics will cover a range of issues concerning revolutionary politics in Cuba, as well as building revolutionary movements around the world, such as: The history and first five years of the Cuban Revolution; the Cuban Revolution and the question of leadership; the legacy of Che and Fidel; the Cuban Revolution and its challenges after the collapse of the Soviet Union; the Cuban Revolution and the US blockade; what role the Cuban 5 play in diplomacy between the U.S. and Cuba; human rights, women's liberation and homosexual rights in Cuba; Cuba and democracy; Cuba and the concept of internationalism; Cuba and Latin America, and finally what lessons we can draw from the Cuban Revolution.

Speakers will come from Vancouver, across Canada and internationally - including Cuba. The conference will include documentary film showings, multimedia presentations and slide shows related to the topics. 

Low cost food and beverages will be served throughout the conference.

Cincuenta Años de Dinamismo de la Revolución Cubana
 
La primera Conferencia Internacional del Che Guevara fue un gran éxito con oradores de Canadá, los EE.UU., Cuba y Venezuela y con más de 200 participantes. Mientras que la primera conferencia se centró más en el Che Guevara como un pensador y luchador de este año la conferencia se centrará en los 50 años de la Revolución Cubana. 

Los temas cubrirán una serie de cuestiones relativas a la política revolucionaria en Cuba, así como la creación de movimientos revolucionarios de todo el mundo, tales como: La historia y los primeros cinco años de la Revolución Cubana, la Revolución Cubana y la cuestión de liderazgo, el legado de Che y Fidel, la Revolución cubana y sus desafíos tras el colapso de la Unión Soviética, la Revolución Cubana y de bloqueo de los EE.UU., ¿qué papel desempeñan los 5 cubanos en la diplomacia entre los EE.UU. y Cuba, los derechos humanos, la liberación de las mujeres y los derechos homosexuales en Cuba Cuba y la democracia, Cuba y el concepto de internacionalismo, Cuba y América Latina, y, por último, qué enseñanzas podemos extraer de la Revolución Cubana. 

Oradores procedentes de Vancouver, en Canadá ya nivel internacional - entre ellos Cuba. La conferencia incluirá proyecciones de películas documentales, presentaciones multimedia y presentaciones de diapositivas relacionadas con los temas. 

Bajo costo de alimentos y bebidas se servirán en toda la conferencia.
