 The June 28th coup d’etat which forced Honduran President Manuel Zelaya from the country has caused a huge public outcry, both inside and outside of Honduras . Massive demonstrations continue every day in Honduras , while the Organization of American States, the United Nations and European Union have all condemned the coup.  However, the coup government continues to insist on its legitimacy. The role of the United States in directing and supporting the coup has also become more and more obvious with their increasing involvement in the negotiation process, and the presence of the CIA and the US government at the time of the coup in Honduras.
 
The Committee in Solidarity with the People of Honduras invites everyone to a free public forum in both the English and Spanish languages, to discuss this explosive situation which includes the coup plotters, their backers, the current situation in Honduras , its impact on Latin America , and the challenges and dangers ahead. Speakers and a documentary film presentation will be followed by discussion.  
 
In unity we are able to expose, resist and fight back against this inhuman and criminal coup. The bloody coup in Honduras has reminded all progressive people that now, more than ever, is the time for unity.  Please join us for this important event.

El 28 de junio el golpe de Estado que obligó al presidente de Honduras Manuel Zelaya a salir de su país ha causado una enorme indignación pública, tanto dentro como fuera de Honduras.Las manifestaciones siguen todos los días en Honduras, mientras que las Organización de Estados Americanos, las Naciones Unidas y la Unión Europea han condenado el golpe. Mas sin embargo, los golpistas siguen insistiendo en su legitimidad. El papel de los Estados Unidos en dirigir y apoyar el golpe también se ha convertido cada vez más evidente con el aumento de su participación en el proceso de negociación, y la presencia de la CIA -  en el momento del golpe de Estado en Honduras. 
 
El Comité en Solidaridad con el Pueblo de Honduras invita a todos a un FORO PUBLICO,  gratuito en los idiomas Inglés y Español, para discutir esta situación explosiva  incluyendo , la situación actual en Honduras, el golpe,y su impacto en América Latina, y los desafíos y peligros por delante. Presentaremos un documental y despues  irá seguida de un debate. 
 
Unidos seremos capaces de exponer, resistir y luchar en contra de este inhumano y criminal golpe de Estado. Este sangriento golpe de Estado en Honduras ha recordado a todos los progresistas que, ahora más que nunca, es el momento de la unidad. Por favor, únase a nosotros para este importante evento.
