Since
the launch of President Obama’s “Strike of the Sword” operation in southern Afghanistan, we have seen an increase in
violence and brutal killings of Afghan people. This coupled with the fact that
both the U.S. and UK are escalating troop levels in
the country in hopes of finally levelling the Afghan resistance. However troop
surges by the occupying governments have only lead to increased resistance as
just yesterday, July 16, the 126th Canadian soldier was killed bringing
the number to 5 Canadian troop deaths this month alone.

Meanwhile
the bloody Coup in Honduras is still attempting to steal
democracy away from the Honduran people and open up Latin America for a new wave of US intervention. Honduran people
are on the move in the streets to demand the return of democratically elected
President Zelaya and people around the world including in Vancouver must also
come together to demand:
