CANADA/NATO OUT OF AFGHANISTAN NOW!

For over 7 years of war, occupation, air raids and shootings, the people of Afghanistan have fought back and resisted a foreign occupation that has undermined their right to self determination. The military forces of Canada, the US and NATO countries are carrying out this war drive, killing the people of Afghanistan to advance their imperialist interests of plundering markets and resources. This war has destroyed and denied the Afghan people of their basic rights of health, shelter, jobs and the most basic right of all ~ the right to life.  In addition, 108 Canadian troops have been killed due to this war. 

To date, the government of Canada has squandered over $8.1 billion taxpayer dollars on carrying out this massacre, money that should be spent on social services, health care and education in Canada, not on war and occupation.

MAWO has picketed at least once a month against Canada’s occupation of Afghanistan, and is now at the unfortunate milestone of the 50th picket action. We encourage all peace loving people to join us for this action in front of the Canadian Armed Forces Recruitment Centre, to demand:
Canada/NATO Out of Afghanistan NOW!
Independent Public Inquiry into the Government of Canada’s War Drive in Afghanistan!
