Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Cuban Revolution

For 50 years, Fidel Castro, government of Cuba, and the Cuban people have set an example of a revolutionary vision for establishing humanity for all people on earth. With internationalism and its socialist aspiration, the Cuban revolution has developed the perspective of millions of working and poor people in Latin America for change, for a better world and against capitalism and imperialism. Today, every true advocate of social change must ask: what makes the Cuban revolution so appealing and so different from other socialist countries which failed? How has revolutionary Cuba not only survived under vicious imperialist aggression and pressure, as well as 50 years of trade blockade, but on the contrary has progressed and expanded its vision of revolution and human rights? What makes Fidel an outstanding and exceptional leader not only for Cuba, not only for Latin America, but for the whole world? What is the message of Cuba after 50 years of advancing
humanity and civilization for us today?
January 1, 2009 marked the 50th Anniversary of the Cuban Revolution. These 50 years of great progress for socialism in Cuba represent 50 years of demonstrating what people can achieve with revolutionary vision, spirit, dignity and consciousness. Semi centennial events do not come often, so the time to join together for Cuba is now.
Vancouver Communities in Solidarity with Cuba invites you to join us for a Calendar of exciting events to further discuss and debate the continued importance of the Cuban revolution and why we believe Cuba represents a beacon of hope today for humanity.

¡Celebre el 50.o Aniversario de la Revolución Cubana!

Por 50 años, Fidel Castro, el gobierno de Cuba, y la gente cubana han fijado un ejemplo de una visión revolucionaria para establecer la humanidad en toda la gente sobre la tierra. Con aspiracion socialista e internacionalismo, la revolución cubana ha desarrollado la perspectiva de millones de trabajadores y gente pobre en América Latina para el cambio, para un mundo mejor y contra del capitalismo e imperialismo. Hoy, cada impulsador por el cambio social debe preguntarse: ¿Qué hace la Revolución Cubana que apela tan diferente de otros países socialistas que fallaron? ¿Cómo Cuba revolucionaria no ha solo sobrevivido bajo la agresión y presión de imperialistas viciosos, asi como 50 años de bloqueo comercial; pero por el contrario ha progresado y ha ampliado su visión revolucionaria y en derechos humanos? ¿Qué hace Fidel como un líder excepcional no sólo para Cuba, si no para América Latina y el mundo entero? Hoy, cuál es el mensaje de
Cuba después de 50 años de avances en la humanidad y la civilización para nosotros?
El 1 de enero de 2009 marcará el 50.o aniversario de la Revolución Cubana. Estos 50 años de gran progreso para el socialismo en Cuba representan 50 años de demostrar lo que puede alcanzar la gente con visión, espiritud, dignidad y sentido revolucionario. Los acontecimientos que duran medio siglo no vienen a menudos, así que la época de unirlos juntos con Cuba es ahora.
Las Comunidades de Vancouver en Solidaridad con Cuba le invitan a que nos unamos en la participacion en un calendario de acontecimientos emocionantes para discutir y debatir más detalladamente la importancia de la revolución cubana y porqué creemos que Cuba representa un faro de esperanza hoy en la humanidad.
