Roll Camera! It's time again for Vancouver's 7th Annual International Film Festival for Peace; a weekend foray into a global tapestry of stories ranging from the heroic to the horrific to the humbling. The festival has come into its own as a unique and significant cultural and political event in the Greater Vancouver region. Dozens of feature films and documentaries from over 20 countries will envelope participants in an intimate experience and connection with those whose lives are affected by war and occupation, both here at home and abroad.
 
Charting new territory, this year's festival features a full day retrospective of classic antiwar films dating back to the days of black and white. This will be accompanied by a second day of the forever-in-demand documentaries emphasizing the global quest for peace and humanity.  ‘After 7 years, hundred of films and thousands of participants, we think this year we have the most dynamic festival yet,’ observed festival organizer Janine Solanki.
 
The festival opens on Saturday December 12th and continues on Sunday December 13th. It is once again FREE, all-ages and will be held in the beautiful pseudo-baroque style Auditorium at Britannia Community Centre, 1661 Napier Street (at Commercial Drive)
