MAWO Public Forum:
International Criminal Court (ICC):
A Tool of Justice or Injustice?
*** *** *** *** *** *** ***

WEDNESDAY April 8
6:30 pm
Joes Café – Large North Hall
Commercial Drive at William Street

On March 4, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued their first ever warrant of arrest for a sitting head of state, against President al-Bashir of Sudan, on charges of war crimes in Darfur, Sudan. In light of the high profile propaganda hype surrounding this ICC case, we must also take into consideration the war crimes not pursued by the ICC.

What about the US/Canada/NATO criminal war and occupation in Afghanistan? What about the US/UK criminal war and occupation of Iraq that has killed over 1.5 million Iraqi people? Most recently, the world witnessed the recent genocidal siege of Gaza by Israeli forces that killed over 1,300 Palestinian people. Where are the charges of war crimes, genocide and crimes against humanity for the governments of the imperialist countries perpetrating these atrocities?
Join MAWO for this forum to discuss the question of the International Criminal Court and whether it is a tool of justice, or injustice.
