Even as the US faces a quagmire in its wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the US campaign and threat of attack against Iran is escalating. One part of this campaign is the 3 sets of US and UN Security Council sanctions that are attempting to weaken Iran’s economy and strangle it’s people. Recently the European Union joined this unjust and cruel campaign by announcing another set of sanctions against Iran. Another part of this campaign is the US military build-up in the Persian Gulf, and support for the recent aerial military manoeuvres over the Mediterranean Sea by Israeli forces for a potential attack against Iran. 

People of the world have seen the destruction that the war in Iraq has caused, with 1.2 million Iraqi’s killed in over 5 years of war. We know the brutality that the people of Afghanistan have faced in almost 7 years of air strikes, checkpoint shootings, killing, torture and the destruction of vital infrastructure. With the US occupying these two countries bordering Iran, and heavy military forces in the Persian Gulf, it is vitally important to discuss this new imperialist war front. We invite all peace-loving people to participate in this important forum to discuss the history and roots of this conflict. We will discuss how to best organize against this impending war on the Iranian people.
