Dear friends and co-fighters in the struggle for peace
and justice,

Today, Wednesday June 4, a three-judge panel of the
11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta issued its
decision to uphold the convictions against the 5 Cuban
Heroes, Gerardo Hernández, René González, Antonio
Guerrero, Ramon Labañino and Fernando González. The
convictions include the charges of “Conspiracy to
Commit Espionage” and “Conspiracy to Commit
Murder”. Three of the 5 charged with “Conspiracy
to Commit Espionage” and given life sentences, will
be remanded to the Miami trial judge for
re-sentencing. 

The Free the Cuban 5 Committee-Vancouver strongly
condemns this unjust decision by the 11th Circuit
Court of Appeals and the United States Government for
upholding these charges against the 5 Cuban Heroes who
have already been unjustly held in the US jails for
over 9 years. These 5 Cubans who were protecting their
people from terrorism organized and financed in Miami,
with help from the U.S. Government against Cuba must
be immediately freed.

The Free the Cuban 5 Committee- Vancouver urges all
people who want a world of peace, justice and equality
to join us tomorrow, Thursday June 5 from
3:30pm-4:30pm at the U.S. Consulate in Vancouver (1075
W. Pender St.) to demand:
