Join Vancouver Communities in Solidarity with Cuba (VCSC) as we continue our monthly exploration of the many diverse and inspiring aspects of Cuban society and culture! This month we are focusing on Cuba's world class healthcare system with three short films:
 
> "Hillside of the Himalayas"
Trek through snow-covered mountains with 2,500 Cuban doctors as they live and work in the most remote areas of Pakistan after the devastating 2005 earthquake.
 
> "1000 Reasons to Live"
Experience the everyday miracles of the Cuban healthcare system. Includes interviews with patients, health professionals, and Che's daughter, Dr. Aleida Guevara, on the accomplishments and ideas behind the Cuban medical system.
 
> "Let There Be Light 
Short film which chronicles "Operation Miracle", in which Cuban doctors perform life changing eye operations for thousands of Venezuelan patients, free of charge! 
 
> Cuban Poetry and Litrature
 
> Open mic for Cuba Lovers
 
Tea, coffee, and light refreshments will be served.

Cuba today is advancing revolutionary ideas not only in the sphere of politics, but also culture. Cuba's revolutionary ideas have become an inspiration for many countries, and their people, in Latin America and around the world. Cuba has become a pioneer both in defense of human dignity, by resisting against the vicious US government and in human culture by promoting the most revolutionary ideas and experiments. 
 
Vancouver Communities in Solidarity with Cuba (VCSC) is organizing monthly Cuba cultural nights in Vancouver on the first Friday of every month in appreciation of Cuba’s contributions to human civilization. VCSC’s goal is to open more opportunities for everyone to find out more about the Cuban cultural experience. These cultural nights will include casual cultural and political discourse. We invite you to join us in developing and expanding the concept of the Battle of Ideas in the cultural arena.

Únase con Comunidades de Vancouver en Solidaridad con Cuba (VCSC) cuando continuamos nuestra exploración mensual e los muy diversos e inspiradores aspectos de la sociedad y cultura Cubanas! Este mes nos estaremos dirigiendo al sistema Cubano de cuidados de la salud de clase mundial a través de tres filmes cortos (cortometrajes) .
 
> ”Laderas de los Himalayas “
Viaje a través de montañas cubiertas de nieve con 2,500 Médicos Cubanos mientras ellos viven y trabajan en las áreas mas remotas de Pakistán después del devastador terremoto del 2005.
 
> “1000 Razones para Vivir”
Experimente los milagros diarios del Sistema de salud Cubano. Incluye entrevistas con pacientes, profesionales de la salud, la hija del Che -la Dra. Aleida Guevara, sobre los logros e ideas base del Sistema Medico Cubano.
 
> “Hágase la Luz”
Film Corto que relata “La Operación Milagro”, en la cual doctores Cubanos realizan operaciones en los ojos (cataratas) libre de cobros, que han cambiado la vida a miles de pacientes de Venezuela, Bolivia y recientemente Mexico.

Cuba se ha vuelto un pionero en defensa de ambas la dignidad humana, resistiendo contra el perverso Gobierno de USA, así como de la Cultura al promover las ideas y experimentos mas revolucionarios.
 
Comunidades de Vancouver en Solidaridad con Cuba (VCSC) esta organizando mensualmente noches culturales de Cuba en Vancouver en el primer Viernes de cada mes como reconocimiento de las contribuciones de Cuba a la civilización Humana. El objetivo de VCSC es abrir mas oportunidades para cada uno conozca mas acerca de la experiencia cultural en . Estas noches Cubanas incluirán cultura popular y discurso político. Lo invitamos a desarrollar con nosotros y expandir el concepto de la Batalla de las Ideas  en el área cultural.
