As the US is continuing their war drive in Iraq and Afghanistan, the US military, economic and propaganda campaign is escalating against Iran. Most recently, The US government gave the Israeli military the go-ahead to prepare for an imminent attack on Iran. The latest non-binding US House and Senate resolution is to advise that George Bush impose a complete naval, air and land blockade on Iran. This is a move which would completely strangle and weaken the Iranian economy and people in preparation for attack, if the US ruling class decides to pursue this matter further. Already there are 3 sets of UN sanctions, European Union sanctions, a build-up of US military forces in the Persian Gulf and Arabian Sea, and a propaganda campaign against Iran.
 
People of the world have seen the destruction that the war in Iraq has caused, with 1.2 million Iraqi’s killed in over 5 years of war. We know the brutality that the people of Afghanistan have faced in almost 7 years of air strikes, checkpoint shootings, killing, torture and the destruction of vital infrastructure. With the US occupying these two countries bordering Iran, and heavy military forces in the Persian Gulf, it is vitally important to discuss this new imperialist war front. We invite all peace-loving people to participate in this important forum to discuss the history and roots of this conflict. We will discuss how to best organize against this impending war on the Iranian people.
