SATURDAY JULY 19th

Anti-war activists will join with local musicians and poets for an evening of anti-war politics, art, culture and resistance. Local performers will share melodies that will inspire and move you and anti-war activists will share stirring poetry from around the world about the history of struggle, reflected in today’s struggle against war and occupation. Come join MAWO, local musicians and poets at this months ‘Combat Social’ for an exciting evening of cultural resistance and to help fundraise money for continuing local antiwar events and actions! 

FEATURING:

>> Joaquin Ernesto ~ inspiring acoustic melodies from Latin America and host of Co-op Radio’s ‘Romantic Tango’ 
>> Payvand Pejvak – soothing classical Spanish guitar
>> Sergio Astorga – a fresh blend of folk and rock with a Latin twist
>> Poetry from throughout the history of struggle against war, occupation and oppression
>> Dancing!

Admission $3 - $10 Sliding scale by donation
