Join MAWO to help plan events for a new year of
struggle against war and occupation! This meeting will
be reporting back from the Canada Out of Afghanistan
picket action, as well as planning upcoming actions
including the next Antiwar Rally and Conference
demanding: NO WAR ON IRAN! This is in response to the
increasing threats against Iran and is co-organized by
MAWO and the Iranian Community Against War (ICAW).

The US threats of attack against Iran are continuing
to escalate as US President George Bush is touring the
Middle East in search of allies against Iran. As peace
loving and humanist people opposed to an impending
war, this forum will be discussing the prospects and
challenges that such an attack brings to the people of
Iran and to antiwar and social justice activists here
at home. This forum will feature Rostam Pourzal,
writer, researcher, social scientist, long-time social
justice campaigner and US Chairperson of Campaign
Against Sanctions and Military Intervention in Iran

As MAWO leads up to a weekend of actions co-organized
with the Iranian Community Against War (ICAW) join
MAWO’s organizing meeting to help plan Jan. 26th
Antiwar Rally demanding “No War on Iran” followed by
an all day conference on Jan. 27th. This meeting will
also be developing the coming months of actions
including forums, rallies and picket actions.

The US war drive is looking to expand and we are
witnessing the continuing and escalating threats of
attack against Iran. This is through propaganda and
slander campaigns, a military build-up in the Persian
Gulf, and new sanctions attacking the Iranian Defence
Ministry, the Revolutionary Guards, and major Iranian
banks. MAWO and ICAW are organizing this rally and
conference together as part of a building campaign to
defend Iran against possible US attack and furthered
sanctions. We must continue to organize against these
threats of impending war and demanding NO WAR ON IRAN!

Morteza Gorgzadeh from Toronto and Ali Yerevani from
Vancouver are long-time Iranian social justice
Campaigners and both were active participants in the
1979 Iranian revolution.
