-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-
4:00PM
Canadian Armed Forces Recruitment Center
(1070 West Georgia)

The Canadian government and their Advisory Panel on
Afghanistan are attempting to continue their vicious
occupation of Afghanistan, which has killed ten’s of
thousands through direct air strikes and even more
through the destruction of infrastructure, such as
sanitation, homes, electricity, hospitals and water
supplies. As a vote in Canadian Parliament is coming
up to push Canada’s end date in Afghanistan from 2009

streets to demand:
“Canada Out of Afghanistan Now!”
“Independent Public Inquiry Now!”

military offensives toward Iran.
> Why the increased US military aggression on Iran?
> What are the political issues at stake?

defending the Iranian people?

Time newspaper

ANTIWAR RALLY
SATURDAY March 15th
12 Noon
Vancouver Art Gallery
(Georgia street at Hornby street)
Organized by: Stopwar.ca
Endorsed by: Mobilization Against War & Occupation

ANTIWAR CONFERENCE
“Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine: What We Have
Learned from the New Era of War & Occupation and What
are the Prospects for Building an Effective Anti-war
Movement”
SUNDAY March 16th
Seattle, WA – USA
Organized by: Mobilization Against War & Occupation and
International ANSWER

On Saturday March 15 hundreds of cities across the world
will take to the streets demanding an end to US aggression
and sanctions on Iran and an immediate end to the Iraq war,
five years after the US began its war on this Middle Eastern
country. The US/UK war on Iraq has already killed at least 1.2
million Iraqis, and now this war drive is threatening the people
of Iran with war. In Vancouver the StopWar coalition is organizing
a March and Rally that MAWO is fully endorsing and participating
in. Join social justice and anti-war activists in demanding an end
to all these wars, sanctions, and aggressions by Canada and the US.

Then on Sunday, March 16, MAWO organizers are catching a bus
down to Seattle, Washington for an anti-war conference! The main
speaker of this conference will be MAWO-co-chair and spokesperson
Alison Bodine, who is currently fighting a 2 year ban from Canada.
Alison is a US citizen and anti-war activist who was politically
targeted by the government of Canada in late 2007 and forced out
of the country for two years. MAWO will be joining American anti-war
activists from the International ANSWER Coalition in Seattle to host an
anti-war conference focusing on the catastrophes of war and
occupation as well as the domestic attacks by the governments of the
US and Canada against immigrants, refugees, non-status people, and
social justice and anti-war activists. This international conference
against war and occupation is the first of its kind organized by MAWO,
and information on buses with MAWO will soon be available to ensure
participants will be able to travel to Seattle.

((( 5 ))) SATURDAY March 29th
>>> ANTIWAR MUSICAL & CULTURAL NIGHT
-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-

Bringing together anti-war politics and music and culture, MAWO will be
joining talented musicians together with anti-war organizers and activists
for a cultural night of resistance! Local musicians will be spinning tracks
and combining the words of resistance with rhyme and rhythm! Come
join MAWO, local talent, and music lovers for this exciting event!
