just returned from the 2nd International World
Equilibrium Conference, January 27-30 2008. This prominent conference
was organized by the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural
Organization (UNESCO) and the institute of Jose Marti Studies (in Cuba)
on the 155th anniversary of the birth of Jose Marti, one of Cuba’s most
revered revolutionaries and thinkers. More than 400 intellectuals,
politicians, academics, writers, journalists and students from 35
countries attended the conference to discuss the most pressing issue
today: the crisis of Humanity created by imperialism and the importance
of the Battle of Ideas in creating a better world.

Quienes recientemente regresaron de la 2 Conferencia Internacional por
el Equilibrio del Mundo, Enero 27 a 30. Esta conferencia de gran
importancia, fue organizada por la Organización de las Naciones Unidas
para la Educación, la Ciencia, y la Cultura (UNESCO) y la Oficina del
Programa Martiano, para conmemorar el 155 aniversario del natalicio de
Jose Martí uno de los más venerados revolucionarios y pensadores
cubanos. Más de 400 intellectuales, políticos, catedraticos,
periodistas, y estudiantes de 35 paises participaron en la Conferecia
para hablar sobre los problemas más criticos de hoy: la crisis de la
Humanidad creada por el imperialismo y la importancia de la Batalla de
Ideas en la lucha por un mundo mejor.
