47 years ago on April 15th 1961 the exiled Cuban counter 
revolutionaries with the backing of the US government and the CIA
invaded Cuba at the Bay of Pigs. The US and 
reactionary Cubans suffered a huge blow in their attempt 
to crush the powerful Cuban Revolution. The US failed to 
overthrow the government of Cuba and Fidel Castro in the US’s first
major defeat in Latin America. This victory of 
revolutionary Cuba brought hope and inspiration to other 
Latin American people. It elevated the confidence of Latin 
Americans that resulted in many mass revolutionary 
movements in the continent to confront and defeat US 
imperialist domination.

people of Cuba and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Cuba rapidly
defeated this brutal aggression?

Hace 47 años, el 15 de Abril de 1961, exiliados cubanos 
contrarrevolucionarios con el apoyo del gobierno 
estadounidense invadieron Playa Girón en Cuba. Los EE.UU. 
y los cubanos reaccionarios sufrieron una inmensa derrota 
en su intento de sofocar a la poderosa revolución cubana. 
Los EE.UU. fracaso en su intento de derrocar al gobierno 
de Cuba y de Fidel Castro en la primer gran derrota del 
los EE.UU. en América Latina. La victoria de la Cuba 
revolucionaria dio esperanza e inspiración a otros pueblos 
latinoamericanos. Elevo el nivel de seguridad de los 
latinoamericanos y resulto en movimientos revolucionarios 
de masa en el continente para confrontar y derrotar a la 
dominación del imperialismo norteamericano.
