Palestine: 60 years of Struggle for Self Determination

Join MAWO for our bi-weekly class to discuss in depth 
issues facing the antiwar movement today. 

As Palestine recently passed the 60 year anniversary of
occupation by Israeli forces, the blockade and sanctions on
Gaza have tightened and more of the West Bank is being cut
off from Palestinians. As Palestinians still struggle for self
determination and the right of return, antiwar activists must
discuss how we will continue to defend this right.

According to Defense Minister Peter MacKay comments at a
March 28th Progressive Conservative Association’s annual
meeting, “tangible progress is being made in Afghanistan.”
Where is this progress, when according to UNICEF  preventable
diseases kill about 600 under-five Afghan children every day?
After 6 years, Canada’s occupation has no intention of
rebuilding the hospitals it destroyed, and instead has the
audacity to say “progress” as children die daily under military
occupation. Join MAWO for it’s 41st picket action and demand:
CANADA OUT OF AFGHANISTAN NOW!
