Join with this International Weekend of Action in demanding an end to the criminal and unjust wars and occupations that have caused the people of Iraq and Afghanistan death, destruction, and increasing poverty. This weekend MAWO will be supporting and organizing for Vancouver’s antiwar march and rally, called in US and internationally by ANSWER Coalition. Following this mobilization, MAWO is organizing its third conference Since January 2007 to discuss in depth the focus of this new era of war and occupation, and how the antiwar movement should respond. Participate in learning about and assessing the gains and challenges of the growing movement of resistance to attacks at home and abroad!

To wrap up this weekend of action, MAWO will be celebrating it’s 4 year anniversary with music, food and dancing to prepare for the next year of organizing and mobilizing against war and occupation!

((2)) Special Presentation: "4 Years of MAWO in Action: How Far We Have Come - Constant Campaigning Against War & Occupation and in Defence of Self-Determination"

Slide Show and history of Mobilization Against War and Occupation (MAWO), reflecting the building and example set by the most active anti-war, anti-occupation coalition around the world since 9/11.

((3)) “What We Can Learn from the History of the Antiwar Movement: From Korean War to Vietnam War to the Present Growing New Era of War & Occupation.”

What is the peace program for the working and poor people? Why oppressed people need an independent anti-war program in the acceleration of imperialist military aggression.

Speaker: Ali Yerevani, Political Editor of Fire This Time (FTT) newspaper.
