Join us at the MAWO meeting for organizing and
building this week’s events on three of our main
campaigns against war and occupation! Thursday May 31
MAWO is organizing an urgent picket action against
Canada’s war drive in Afghanistan which killed the
55th Canadian soldier last week as well as hundreds of
Afghan people in occupation air strikes and attacks in
recent weeks. We are also organizing MAWO’s 4th
community forum in response to the increasing pressure
and build-up to attack on Iran and expansion of war
and occupation in the Middle East to Iran. The forum
will feature experienced Iranian activist speakers and
takes place Friday June 1st. This weekend, Saturday,
June 2, MAWO is also organizing a community petition
drive to add to the more than 1700 signatures on the
MAWO “US/UN Troops Hands Off Africa!” petition
campaign against invasion of Sudan and against all
foreign troops in Somalia. To get involved in planning
