About the Conference:
This conference will focus on the work of academic feminists as well as 
people from the activist and
social justice communities. Presentations will cover a range of topics that 
reflect research or activism that fall under the scope of feminism. Topics 
include but are not limited to: racism, first nations' issues, sexuality, 
gender and transgender issues,  health, the 'justice' system, sustainable 
living, media representations, poverty, economics, mental health, HIV, 
pornography, sex trade work and legislation, sex trafficking, globalization, 
colonization, and violence.
