these three important events and stand along side the
hundreds of thousands of people in Cuba and around the
world protesting the release of Posada!

On April 19th, 2007 the U.S. government released
terrorist Luis Posada Carriles on bail. Posada
Carriles is notorious in Latin America for his
admitted acts of terrorism, especially against Cuba,
including the 1976 in-air bombing of Air Cubana Flight
455 which killed all 73 innocent passengers. He has
been held in prison in El Paso Texas for just over one
year. The charges he faces relate only to his entering
the U.S. illegally and lying to Homeland Security- the
U.S. government refuses to acknowledge Posada’s
terrorist activities. 

Why is the government of George W. Bush protecting and
freeing this terrorist while Bush himself stated, “Any
person, organization or government that supports,
protects, or harbours terrorists is complicit in the
murder of the innocent, and equally guilty of
terrorist crimes.”? Why is the U.S. Government
refusing to extradite Posada to Venezuela where he is
a naturalized citizen, and where he is already facing
charges for the 1976 bombing?

While terrorists like Posada walk free in Miami, the
Cuban 5, five men who were investigating terrorists
like Posada, are held in prison without any evidence
against them, without a fair trial, since 1998. The US
government protects Posada because he is one of their
own, and the crimes he has committed were in the
interests of the U.S. government.
