Since the opening of this era with the US invasion and
occupation of Afghanistan in 2001, oppressed people
across the world have witnessed fierce attacks,
invasions and occupations in the name of democracy and
human rights from the Middle East to Latin America to
Africa. Now, with the US and UN trying to build their
case to justify their military attack against Iran,
more than ever the antiwar movement must be united
with clear, concrete and effective organizing.
 
In this class we will also be examining and analyzing
current anti-war coalitions’ demands and slogans.
After massive demonstrations worldwide, marking the
4th anniversary of the US-led invasion of Iraq on
March 17 and 18 this year, the antiwar movement must
ask and examine seriously 'What's Next?' 

Join us at the MAWO educational class this week for
in-depth discussion on the challenges and successes in
antiwar campaigns and organizing and our perspective
for continuing to build.

in front of the Canadian Armed Forces Recruitment
Center downtown Vancouver (address: 1070 Georgia St,
on Georgia St. @ Thurlow St.) to oppose the Canadian
military occupation and atrocities in Afghanistan on
Thursday April 12 from 3pm to 4pm. Join us & demand
"Canada Out of Afghanistan Now!"

2 >>>> MAWO's next free public forum will be held
Friday April 20th at the Britannia Community Center at
6:30pm. Titled "The Middle East Today: Afghanistan,
Iraq & Now Iran", the forum will discuss the
increasing build-up campaign by imperialists for
intervention and attack on Iran and their current
strategy for war and occupation and plunder in the
Middle East.
