Occupation forces opened another week of their brutal occupation of 
Afghanistan Sunday June 17th with air strikes in eastern parts of the 
country, targeting a mosque and a school and killing 7 children among the 
dozens of others. By Tuesday reports from all major media confirmed that in 
the last 3 days occupation forces have continued to pummel the country, 
killing more than 100 people. Added to this bloody news is last week’s death 
of the 57th Canadian soldier to die in the occupation. Together all of this 
means that Canadian forces, NATO forces, US forces and all foreign 
occupation forces in Afghanistan are waging all out war on the people of 
Afghanistan, who are courageously fighting back.

This week, Chief of Defense Staff Gen. Rick Hillier met with 11 other top 
Canadian military generals in Afghanistan to discuss further occupation 
strategy, to put down the growing resistance. As this battle wages on, 
peace-loving people in Canada must stand on the side of Afghan people who 
are struggling against this ongoing and brutal war and occupation, and who 
are demanding the rightful sovereignty of Afghanistan.

Join us at our monthly picket action to protest the Canada/NATO joint  
occupation and attack on people of Afghanistan and to demand an immediate 
end to the occupation.
