  All over Cuba people celebrate July 26th as the 
beginning of the movement that paved the way for 
the Cuban Socialist Revolution. On July 26th, 1953, 
Commandante Fidel Castro led a group of courageous 
young men and women to an attack on the Moncada 
Barracks in Cuba, in an attempt to overthrow the US 
backed dictator Batista. Although the brave and 
honorable fighters failed, the movement continued 
and went on to organize the Cuban Revolution, who's 
amazing gains are celebrated from Cuba to Vancouver!
   
  The celebration will feature:
~ Dinner
~ Speakers
~ Exciting Cuban Dance lesson from instructor Carlos Reyes!
~ Live Music from Ramon Flores & Pablo Oyarzo!
~ A special display of original posters from OSPAAAL!
 (Organization of Solidarity of the People of Asia, Africa 
  and Latin America)
~ DJ Aliboa & Dancing!

  La gente al rededor de Cuba celebra el 26 de Julio 
como el comienzo del movimiento que abrió camino para 
la Revolución Socialista Cubana. El 26 de Julio de 
1953, El Comandante Fidel Castro liderea a un grupo de 
valientes hombres y mujeres para atacar las barracas de 
Moncada en Cuba, en un intento para derrocar a el 
dictador apoyado por los EE.UU. Batista. Aunque los 
valientes y honorables combatientes no tuvieron éxito, 
el movimiento continuo y vino a organizar la Revolución 
Cubana, cuyos grandiosos logros son celebrados ¡Desde 
Cuba hasta Vancouver! 
   
  La Celebración incluirá:
