CITY-WIDE DAY OF ANTIWAR ACTION: SAT. JAN 27TH @ 2PM

Campus events for the Student Week Against War &
Occupation are building toward the next city-wide
day of antiwar action, a rally and march on January
27th, at 2pm at the Vancouver Art Gallery (750 Hornby
St – on Hornby & Robson)! Join us to call for
"US/UN/Canada Hands Off Sudan & Darfur!", “All Foreign
Troops Out of Somalia!” as well as "Canada/NATO Out of
Afghanistan!" and "US/UK Out of Iraq!"

Since 2003, the Student Week Against War & Occupation
(SWAWO) has activated thousands of students on college
and university campuses throughout the Lower Mainland
and beyond to organize discussions, cultural
activities and actions against war and occupation.

SWAWO takes on new importance this semester with the era of war and 
occupation now expanding to Africa. The recent US-backed Ethiopian invasion 
of Somalia and the
ongoing threats against Darfur, Sudan, are only the
beginning of a new imperialist campaign to plunder and
exploit Africa. SWAWO  events this semester are part
of an antiwar response, demanding “US/UN Hands Off
Africa!”

Be sure to join students on-campus next week and add
your name to the two newly-launched petition campaigns,
demanding "US/UN Hands Off Darfur!", and "No Foreign Troops in
Somalia!"
