Come out for MAWO’s bi-weekly educational class this week for in-depth 
discussion on the era of war and occupation and the invasion and occupation 
of Somalia by US-backed Ethiopian troops. Since the December invasion, the 
capital city of Mogadishu has been rocked by the constant battling and 
attacks by Somali resistance forces against the foreign occupying troops and 
the isolated and unsupported “transitional government”. Why was Somalia the 
strategic entry point into Africa for the US-war drive? What is the 
situation since 2 months of invasion and occupation by foreign troops? What 
is the history of colonial intervention in Somalia? How can we take action 
to support self-determination for Somalia? We will discuss these questions 
and more, focused on action and organizing to build a movement for 
self-determination for all oppressed nations, and we invite you to join us.
