JOIN US @ THIS WEEK'S MEETING as we organize for the antiwar, 
anti-occupation demonstration Saturday February 24th, 2pm at the Vancouver 
Art Gallery. The demonstration combines monthly street action with MAWO's 
ongoing education campaigns calling for "Canada/US/NATO Out of Afghanistan!" 
"US/UK Out of Iraq!" "US/UN Troops Hands Off Africa!" "Self Determination 
for All Oppressed Nations!"

MAWO's next forum in the "Hands Off Sudan & Somalia!" series is coming up 
Monday February 26th at the Burnaby Public Library (next to Metrotown 
Center) at 6:30pm.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR! Through forums, petitions drives, pickets and campus 
events, MAWO is also organizing and building for the March 17 International 
Day of Action marking the 4th Anniversary of the US/UK invasion of Iraq. 
MAWO has endorsed the call by the International ANSWER coalition in the US 
and the Canadian Peace Alliance for internationally coordinated antiwar 
actions to mark this day. MAWO has also endorsed and is organizing and 
building for the Vancouver, BC rally, called by Stopwar.ca.

For this international weekend of antiwar protest, and with perspective for 
continuing struggle against imperialist war and occupation, MAWO is holding 
our 8th educational anti-war conference on Sunday March 18th. The conference 
theme is "The Struggle Against Imperialist Intervention in Africa: 
Confronting the Wars and Occupations After 9/11", with the workshops:
1>>>  Expansion of the Era of War and Occupation in Africa
2>>>  War and Occupation in the Middle East: Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine, 
Lebanon, Syria and Iran. Where are we going from here?
3>>>  Building an Effective Antiwar Movement: Past, Present, and Future.
