LIFT THE 2-YEAR BAN! ALISON BODINE LIFT THE BAN 10,000 PETITION DRIVE!

On Saturday, November 17, anti-war and social justice activist Alison
Bodine was forced to leave Canada under the exclusion order and
two-year ban from Canada issued by the Immigration & Refugee Board of
Canada (IRB). For background and details on the case of this politically targeted

On Sunday, November 18 the Alison Bodine Defence Committee launched the
“Alison Bodine Lift the Ban 10,000 Petition Drive!”. More than 800 petitions and
letters have been collected so far to appeal to the Minister of Citizenship &
Immigration to Lift the 2-year Ban Now! Join us to get involved in this
campaign to defend the democratic and human rights of all oppressed people
to free speech, organizing and protesting.

After years of accusations and slander campaign by the US neocons and
Bush administration to justify a foreign attack on Iran, the claim that Iran is
developing nuclear weapons has been knocked down. This week the
National Intelligence Estimate (NIE), the grouping of all 16 US spy
agencies, stated Iran stopped its nuclear arms work four years ago.
Despite this revelation and huge crack that has been made in the US
war drive rhetoric against Iran, George Bush stated that Iran remains a
"danger to the world" and the US will keep "all options" against it open.

Combining this with the recent tightening of sanctions against Iran, the
announcement of the state army in Iran as a terrorist organization - Bush
and the US neocons are making it clear they are desperate to carry out
their agenda for war against Iran and will keep trying to justify this attack
which will bring a terrible human cost and destruction.

The US, UK, Canada and other war-mongering countries have already
shown what path of destruction and killing they are pursuing with this era
of war and occupation. More than 1million people dead in Iraq; tens of
thousands killed in the occupation of Afghanistan; what murderous toll
will they take against the Iranian people when they carry out their vicious
plan of attack?

Within Iran and around the world, people are calling out to stop any attack
on Iran. Join MAWO and the Iranian Committee Against War in Vancouver
for this urgent picket line and protest to demand the US stop this heightening
vicious and criminal war drive against Iran!
