With the recent 3 deaths of Canadian Soldiers in Afghanistan the opposition to this criminal war continues to grow amongst people in Canada. MAWO continues to voice the demand for the immediate end of the occupation of Afghanistan, bringing our protest to the doors of the Canadian Armed Forces Recruitment Centre in Vancouver. While the death toll of Canadians in Afghanistan climbs to 69, Afghan deaths soar, as only from January 2007 until now over 600 Afghan civilians have been killed.

What are the real consequences of the Canada/NATO war & occupation in Afghanistan? Why after 6 years of US/Canada/NATO occupation has the living situation in Afghanistan deteriorated:

- More than 6.5 million Afghans face malnutrition & starvation
- Afghanistan has the 3rd highest infant mortality rate
- 1 women dies every 28 minutes from pregnancy related causes
- Unemployment in Afghanistan sits at 78% as reported by CBC news
- 70% of Afghans live on less than 2$ per day
- NATO dropped 407 bombs on Afghanistan from April to July of this year according to Human Rights Watch (HRW), 4 times the amount dropped on Iraq in the same period of time

Join us in demanding “Canada/NATO Out of Afghanistan Now!” & “Independent Public Inquiry Now!”
