FOCUS:
“Organizing in the Era of War & Occupation: US release of admitted 
anti-Cuban terrorist Luis Posada Carriles and its meaning for the antiwar 
movement”

On Thursday April 19th, a US court in El Paso, Texas released known 
CIA-trained international, anti-Cuban terrorist Luis Posada Carriles on 
bail. Worldwide protests have begun and will continue against his release. 
Posada has admitted to many acts of terror against Cuban and Latin American 
people and is wanted by the Venezuelan government for the 1976 bombing of an 
Air Cubana flight killing all 73 people on board. Join us at this week’s 
MAWO class to discuss the significance of the release of this international 
terrorist in the framework of the US ‘war on terror’ and the history and 
ongoing US’ aggression against Cuba.
