FORUM:
PALESTINE, LEBANON, and the ISRAELI OCCUPATION

The Social Justice Center (SJC) is holding a forum and
speakers panel entitled "Palestine, Lebanon, and the
Israeli Occupation". The ongoing occupation of
Palestine and Israel's recent invasion of Lebanon will
be discussed by Dr. Warif Laila, Jon Elmer, and  
Shannon Bundock.

- Dr. Warif Laila is an activist from the middle-east.
She has spoken at events throughout the city, and will
give an overview of the current situation in Lebanon.

- Jon Elmer is a writer and photojournalist. He has
been published in the Journal of Palestine Studies,
the Progressive, The New Standard, Z Magazine, and
This Magazine. Elmer has also travelled widely, and  
will give a slide show presentation of his experiences
in the Occupied Territories.

- Shannon Bundock is co-chair and founding member of
Mobilization Against War and Occupation
(MAWO),well-known social justice organizer, and
political analyst and writer in Vancouver.
