In the past 2 weeks, more than 500 Afghan people have been
killed in the Canadian occupation forces’ “Operation Medusa” in
Southern Afghanistan.

On Monday September 18th four more Canadian soldiers died as
Prime Minister Stephen Harper admitted (finally) that Canada is
“at war” in Afghanistan and a report was released finding that
Canadian soldiers in Kandahar are about 6 times as likely to die
as a US soldier in Iraq.

In the wake of Monday’s deaths, Stephen Harper proclaimed that
“The exit strategy is success. There will be no other conditions
under which this government leaves Afghanistan.”

Join us on Thursday September 21st for MAWO’s 19th emergency
picket action against the Canadian occupation of Afghanistan to
declare that war and occupation will not bring “peace” or
“freedom” to Afghanistan and that the government of Canada’s
agenda will not “succeed” on the backs of the Afghan people. On
Thursday September 21st, say no to Harper’s lies and stand with
the Afghan people and demand:
