Mobilization Against War & Occupation (MAWO) is
inviting you to join us for our bi-weekly organizing
meeting. This week will be joined by very special
guests from Cuba!

1) Irma Gonzalez and Elizabeth Palmeiro, family
members of Cuban 5 Prisoners held in US jails, will be
joining us at the MAWO meeting Nov 1st! They are
stopping in Vancouver as part of their Canada-wide
tour organized by the Canadian Network on Cuba
(http://www.canadiannetworkoncuba.ca).

They will be speaking on Thursday November 2 at 7:30pm
at the SFU Harbour Center.

MAWO has endorsed this event and has supported the
campaign for freedom for these 5 Cuban anti-terrorist
heroes as their imprisonment is part of the US attack
on Cuba’s sovereignty and self-determination.

plan our ongoing antiwar movement building work
including, monthly demonstrations, events on campuses
and our 4th Annual Vancouver Antiwar Film Festival
coming up in December! We will also discuss and assess our 5th Student Week
Against War & Occupation that has just wrapped up, the International Day of
Action on October 28th and MAWO's 8th conference held on October 29th.

To get involved in organizing these and other
campaigns, including the 12,000-strong petition
